Kingston Maurward: Design and Website Development
Brief
Kingston Maurward, a brand comprising a College and various commercial services, sought a new website to better reflect their diverse offerings. The organisation includes the College, Conferences and Events, Animal Parks and Gardens, Stables and Equine Events, and Weddings. Recognising that their current website was outdated and insufficient, they tasked us with creating an on-brand, image-led, fresh, and innovative website that caters to their different target audiences.
Solution
Digital Storm has worked with Kingston Maurward College on a range of web and design projects, including the redevelopment of their main website, kmc.ac.uk. The previous site had become outdated and difficult to navigate, so we restructured the content around four clear sub-sites: College, Weddings, Conferences & Events, Animal Park, and Manor Stables & Equine Events.
Each section was designed to have its own identity while maintaining a cohesive look and feel. High-quality photography brought the venue and its offerings to life, with design decisions shaped by internal focus group feedback.
Built on WordPress, the new site includes WooCommerce for ticketing and integrates with Unit-e for internal systems. The result is a modern, user-friendly platform that supports Kingston Maurward’s broad range of services. This project forms part of our ongoing work with the College across multiple websites and design-led initiatives.
Outcome
Since launch, the Kingston Maurward website has seen a strong increase in traffic and engagement—particularly around college applications and event enquiries. Users have praised the improved navigation, modern design, and clear presentation of information.
Built on WordPress, the site gives the internal team flexibility to keep content updated and add new features as needed. WooCommerce and Unit-e integrations have also improved efficiency across ticketing, sales, and student record management.
Our ongoing relationship with Kingston Maurward has included continued website support and the successful delivery of a standalone Animal Park website—further strengthening their digital presence across all areas of the organisation.
