Digital Storm are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted as a finalist in Wirehive100’s not for profit site of the year award. This is a tremendous yet well deserved success for the team here at Digital Storm on a fantastic project.
The project that has been shortlisted for the award is a website we developed for Dorset Food & Drink, this is an online directory for Dorset based food and drink businesses that aims to build a stronger sense of community as it promotes Dorset as the food capital of the United Kingdom.
The difficulties posed with developing a membership site is that we needed to consider 3 distinct sets of users. We needed to ensure that the navigation catered to all of these and that it guides users through the flow of information on both desktop and mobile/tablets. We used a series of techniques to ensure a smooth website design and UX.
Digital Storm are very proud of the final outcome of the project. We met the aims of the initial brief and provided Dorset Food & Drink with a strong web solution that they can use to help recruit more members and showcase the food and drink community in Dorset.
