We’ve had a big week. After almost 18 months of working from home, we’ve moved back into a brand new office. We’ve also taken on a Marketing Executive, Bethany, who will be getting stuck into strategy, social, and all things Digital Storm. Curtis has already raided the beer fridge and Oli has got to work designing the new vinyl for our windows. And it’s only Wednesday…
Our new office is in Lansdowne, just up the road from where we used to be. We’re on the second floor of The Chocolate Box. The Chocolate Box is a fantastic place for creative agencies to work and come together. We’ve got an office right next to the pool table, but there is always the option to work in the communal area. Our marketing team has already taken advantage of the presentation booths.
As well as meeting rooms, presentation booths, the kitchen, and a boardroom – there’s also loads of fun to be had. We’ve got ping pong tables, pool tables, and a Playstation. The team likes to refer to this as team-building… Damion isn’t so sure.
Most of the team have chosen to be in the office full-time. After a year of video meetings, endless phone calls, and countless hangouts notification pings it’s safe to say that they won’t be missing home working anytime soon.
Moving with the times, some of our team have chosen to continue working from home full time. We’re excited to see what the future looks like for a hybrid Digital Storm (although Alex has already been down once for a free beer and Curtis hasn’t left his hot desk yet so it looks like office life is calling everyone back).
Bethany joined the team amidst all the chaos. At one point in time, Oli had about 30 cables sprawled across the floor, the phones were in and out and everyone lost internet connection. Lesley definitely chose the right week to take annual leave. Despite the carnage, we’ve done our best to give Bethany a warm welcome.
