After being at Digital Storm for a few months now, I think about how it felt when I first started. My everyday life is completely different compared to how it was while I was at college. I still learn something new everyday thanks to my wonderful and supportive colleagues. Instead now I can experience more hands on and real life situations. I wouldn’t have had that opportunity if I furthered my education in a different way. On top of that, it allows me to get stuck in and experiment as a way of learning whilst earning a Level 3 Degree.

Building my Skills

Being a Web Development Apprentice has allowed me to build on my creative skills. I use my creativity to build websites for clients that have their own look and feel depending on the business. I also get to use a range of functions on the websites, depending on the client’s needs. As Digital Storm is an agency, it allows me to work with a huge range of clients meaning each day is different.

The Right Choice

Choosing an apprenticeship was definitely the right choice as it allowed me to learn more about the job role and decide if it was right for me. It also means I have gained a new range of experiences that can help me further in the workplace and everyday life. As well as finding out more about what I want to do with my future, becoming an apprentice has helped to build my confidence and knowledge.
