Dudsbury Golf Club

The brief

Dudsbury Golf Club, Hotel & Spa based in Ferndown is a privately owned club set in 160 acres of stunning landscaped grounds. Following a major refurbishment at the venue, the club approached Digital Storm to bring their website up to date. They wanted the website and any supporting marketing communications to reflect the high standard look and feel of the club.

Our response

The key was to create a modern yet luxurious feel for the site whilst providing enough information for each of its visitor types. The site needed to clearly distinguish the different areas of the club for each of the target audiences, and this was achieved through the use of colour and imagery.

A range of category landing pages were designed to showcase each of the areas i.e Golf/ Restaurants/ Spa and Fitness. Facilities were showcased using photography (of the venue and the grounds) as well as 360-degree photography of the bar and restaurant. The introduction of a new colour palette helped to distinguish the brand as a high quality, hotel, spa and golf club whilst aiding website visitors on how they should navigate throughout the site.

The site was developed in WordPress and used a range of widgets and applications for the room and restaurant bookings. The Open Table plugin, BRS Golf.com plugin and an Iframe of Room Basket were integrated. As well as Facebook feeds and news posts, the site also showcased their events using a calendar plugin and offered vouchers and coupon codes to be used whilst visiting the venue.

Results

Following the launch of the website, the colours and updated look and feel has been rolled across some of the marketing collateral and we have continued to work with the Dudsbury Golf Club, Hotel & Spa on website updates and social media assistance.
